Backed by the motherland, rooted in Hong Kong and connected to the world, the Hong Kong International Music Festival is a large-scale music event that integrates Chinese and foreign classical music, pop, modern and various types of music and cultural activities.

Through various activities such as music camps, study tours, competitions, concerts, master classes and seminars, the festival attracts musical talents and masters from home and abroad to Hong Kong, promotes the exchange of music from all walks of life, and promotes the interactive development of international music culture.

The Hong Kong International Music Festival (HKISF) was held in 2013 with about 30,000 participants, and by the time the 6th HKMFF was held in 2019, the number had grown to nearly 90,000, with more than 150 countries and regions around the world participating, including China, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries, as well as cities such as Macao and Taiwan.
